Of course, but there are prerequisites.
(1) Same format: both analog or digital walkie talkies
If it is just a regular walkie talkie, the fixed frequency information set by the factory default may not be the same for different brands and models of walkie talkies. This requires us to use corresponding frequency writing cables to connect the walkie talkie to the computer, and adjust the walkie talkie to the same through frequency writing software, analog to analog, and digital to digital. If it’s a manually adjustable walkie talkie, just manually adjust it to the same one.
(2) Different formats: one analog walkie talkie, one digital walkie talkie
Analog walkie talkie, can only write analog frequency; Digital intercom, compatible with digital and analog, capable of writing both analog and digital frequencies.
So if you want to pair an analog walkie talkie with a digital walkie talkie, simply adjust the digital walkie talkie to analog; Analog walkie talkies cannot write digital frequencies.
Additional note:
- At present, some digital walkie talkies can automatically recognize digital analog mixtures, allowing users to communicate with existing analog walkie talkies and maintain contact with digital walkie talkie users at the same frequency. Like Motorola EVX-C51.
- Digital walkie talkie, please note the digital format, DPMR is different from DMR. Like Motorola walkie talkies, the MAGONE A8I is in DPMR format, while the MOTOROLA GP328D+is in DMR format. When writing digital frequencies, the two walkie talkies cannot be interconnected.
- Card interphone, also known as public network interphone; It is not possible to directly communicate with private network walkie talkies. At present, there are multiple dual mode walkie talkies on the market, analog+public network, digital+public network. When there is a mobile signal, use the public network walkie talkie, and when there is no mobile signal, use the private network walkie talkie.
- Due to different frequency bands, 150M intercom and 400M intercom can be interconnected through conversion devices.
